VFO 2027 – Young Musicians Programme

The Verbier Festival Orchestra (VFO) invites young instrumentalists from around the world to apply for its 2027 programme, offering an intensive immersion in professional orchestral life as part of the Verbier Festival.

The programme is open to musicians aged 18 to 28 as of 1 July 2027. Nearly 100 musicians are selected internationally to take part in rehearsals, concerts and coaching sessions with musicians from leading international orchestras and renowned conductors.

Applicants may choose between a live audition and a video audition, both evaluated according to the same criteria. Live auditions will take place in Berlin, Geneva, London, New York, Paris, Vienna and Zurich. Harp and percussion applicants are recruited by video audition only.

Programme dates: 28 June – 2 August 2027

The Verbier Festival covers all training costs, as well as accommodation, lunches and dinners during the programme. Participants also receive a contribution towards travel expenses, depending on their place of residence.

The working language of the programme is English.
