The third edition of the Dinu Lipatti International Piano Competition will take place in Craiova, Romania, from 21 to 25 September 2026.
The competition is open to pianists of any nationality born after 1 October 1992 and consists of four rounds:
Application deadline: 10 August 2026
Participants will perform before an international jury and compete for prizes worth €18,000.
The competition also offers several special prizes, including the Jean Mihail Prize for the highest-ranked Romanian competitor, the Chopin Prize for the best performance of a Chopin waltz, and concert engagements with Romanian philharmonic orchestras.
