International Salbek Opera Masterclass 2026 is open to young musicians aged between 18 and 35, who may apply until 31 May 2026.

The masterclass will take place from 18 to 23 August 2026 at the Salbek Castle Estate in Petriș, Arad County, Romania, and will conclude with an Extraordinary Opera Gala held in the open air in Arad’s Main Square on 23 August, together with the Arad Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of conductor David Crescenzi.

The invited artists of this edition are mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose, tenor Ramón Vargas and soprano Leontina Văduva. The best participants will have the opportunity to perform in the festival’s final gala concert.

Participants will work in small groups in an intensive format focused on vocal technique, musical expression and stage presence.
