Audition – 2nd Soprano Soloist (with Chorus Duties)

Mittelsächsische Theater und Philharmonie (MiT), a multi-genre theatre in Germany active in opera, operetta, musical and concert production, is offering a position for a 2nd soprano soloist with chorus duties within its music theatre ensemble.

The institution operates in Freiberg and Döbeln, in a culturally active region located between Chemnitz, Dresden and Leipzig.

The position is suited for a versatile performer, comfortable across a broad repertoire ranging from Baroque and Classical works to German opera and late Romantic repertoire, with openness towards operetta and musical theatre. Stage movement and engagement in interdisciplinary creative processes are also expected.

The role includes both solo and ensemble (chorus) work, depending on production needs.

The contract is offered under NV Bühne regulations, for a fixed term (1 June 2026 – 31 July 2028), with the possibility of extension.

Audition requirements: one German aria, one musical theatre song and a monologue.
