The Voice of Kamen • International Competition for Young Tenors

State Opera Ruse announces the third edition of the International Competition for Young Tenors “The Voice of Kamen”, to be held in Ruse, Bulgaria, from 19 to 27 August 2026.

The competition is open to tenors aged between 22 and 40.

The jury will be chaired by the internationally renowned tenor, conductor and composer José Cura, alongside distinguished opera artists, artistic directors and managers of leading opera institutions.

In addition to monetary prizes, the competition offers participants the opportunity to establish valuable professional contacts within the international opera community.
Prize winners may also receive engagement offers for the 2026/2027 season from major opera houses in Eastern Europe.
