Description

The research grants are offered by the Pau Casals UNESCO Chair, founded by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and the Fundația Pau Casals, to support research related to the musical and humanistic legacy of Pau Casals, as well as the values he promoted: peace, democracy, and human rights.

Who can apply
Students and researchers from all over the world, for:

  • Bachelor’s final projects
  • Master’s or postgraduate research
  • Doctoral research
  • Other relevant research projects

Research proposals must be written in an international language (English).

Benefits

  • €2,000 for each selected research project
  • Mentorship from an expert selection committee
  • Access to the Pau Casals Archive (National Archive of Catalonia)

Application period: February 2 – April 12, 2026

Selection results: May 11, 2026

Final project submission deadline: May 2, 2027
