Opera Crown – Tbilisi International Voice Competition

Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre is organizing the 5th edition of the Opera Crown – Tbilisi International Voice Competition, an international singing competition that will take place from 8 to 13 November 2026 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The competition is open to:

• Female singers aged between 21 and 30;
• Male singers aged between 22 and 32.

Participation is free of charge and no application fee is required.

Candidates may apply through:

• live preliminary auditions held in Prague, Budapest and Washington, D.C. (application deadline: 1 September 2026);
• video audition submission (application deadline: 5 October 2026).

Following the preliminary auditions, approximately 50 contestants will be selected to participate in the final rounds of the competition in Tbilisi.

The Competition Committee provides an official accompanist throughout the competition free of charge.
In addition, contestants selected for the First Round will benefit from accommodation in Tbilisi for the duration of their participation in the competition, in accordance with the competition regulations.

Prizes

• First Prize: USD 10,000
• Second Prize: USD 7,000
• Third Prize: USD 5,000
• Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre Prize: performance engagement with a fee of USD 2,000

The jury includes representatives of leading international opera houses, theatres, artist management agencies and casting organizations.
