Luigi Alva International Opera Competition – 2nd Edition

Teatro Antonio Belloni in Barlassina, Italy, near Milan, is organizing the 2nd Luigi Alva International Opera Competition, open to opera singers of all voice types aged 18 to 40.

The competition consists of an online preliminary selection, followed by the live semi-final and final rounds, which will take place on 3–4 October 2026 at Teatro Antonio Belloni.

Participants will perform before an international jury featuring distinguished opera professionals, including conductor Pietro Mianiti, tenor Ernesto Palacio, baritone Roberto Servile, as well as representatives of leading artistic management agencies and European opera institutions.

Prizes:
• 1st Prize – EUR 2,000
• 2nd Prize – EUR 1,500
• 3rd Prize – EUR 1,000
• Audience Prize – EUR 300

The winner will also be invited to attend an advanced masterclass at Teatro Antonio Belloni before the end of 2026.

The preliminary round is based on the submission of two video recordings. Selected candidates will be invited to compete in the live semi-final and final rounds in Barlassina, Italy.
