International Masterclass of Raina Kabaivanska

New Bulgarian University and Sofia Opera and Ballet announce the XXVI International Masterclass led by renowned soprano Raina Kabaivanska, taking place in Sofia from September 14 to October 4, 2026.

The masterclass is open to singers up to the age of 32 and focuses on vocal technique, artistic interpretation, and stage performance.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to perform in the Gala Concert with the orchestra of Sofia Opera and Ballet.

Outstanding participants may receive scholarships for further training in Italy and Bulgaria, as well as opportunities to participate in opera productions and concerts with partner institutions.

Announcement of semifinalists: July 31, 2026
Live audition: September 14, 2026, Sofia

Applicants are required to submit two recent video recordings (2025–2026) of opera arias from different operas, performed in the original language with live accompaniment.
