Accademia Teatro alla Scala has opened applications for its Advanced Course for Opera Coaches/Piano Accompanists, taking place between 2026 and 2028.
Established in 1994 and developed in close connection with Teatro alla Scala, the program offers comprehensive professional training for opera coaches/piano accompanists, combining teaching activities, practical exercises, and direct involvement in Academy productions included in the theatre season.
The course is designed to develop the full range of skills required for the profession at the highest level, giving participants the opportunity to work alongside internationally acclaimed conductors, singers, and stage directors.
During the two-year program, students will collaborate with renowned artists such as Riccardo Chailly, Daniel Oren, Diego Fasolis, Ádám Fischer, Leo Nucci, Ambrogio Maestri, Peter Stein, Gilbert Deflo, and Liliana Cavani.
More than 90% of graduates continue their professional careers at Teatro alla Scala, La Scala Academy, or leading music institutions in Italy and abroad.
The program is open to pianists and accompanists under the age of 30 holding a conservatory diploma or equivalent qualification.
