Applications are now open for the 1st Milka Trnina International Singing Competition, taking place 15–19 June 2026 under the auspices of the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb.

The competition is open to singers of all nationalities in two categories:

  • OPERA – female singers up to 30 years of age; male singers up to 32
  • YOUNG SINGERS – up to 24 years of age

The Final Round will be held on 19 June 2026 at the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, in collaboration with the Orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre.
The jury brings together leading artistic personalities, casting directors and artist managers from major European institutions and agencies. The President of the Jury is Giorgio Surian.

The total prize fund exceeds EUR 15,000, complemented by additional professional opportunities, including engagements and auditions.
