Open Call – Writing the Future

London Sinfonietta invites applications for the next edition of Writing the Future, a development programme for music creators interested in developing an ambitious new work in collaboration with the ensemble.

Four selected artists will create a new work for an ensemble of up to six London Sinfonietta musicians, to be performed as part of the 2028/29 season.

The programme includes a bursary of up to £3,000, an R&D budget of up to £2,250, artistic mentoring and workshop opportunities.

Eligibility: Applicants must be 18 or over, resident in the UK throughout the programme, and able to travel to London.

Application deadline: 11 December 2026, 5:00 p.m.
