Description

The Finnish National Opera and Ballet (Helsinki) announces a vacancy for an opera singer (Alto)  – permanent employment starting 1 August 2026 (or as agreed).

The position is within the Vocal Department and includes:

  • choir duties
  • possible soloist and assistant roles, depending on repertoire needs
  • participation in audience outreach events
  • work in Finnish and English

Salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the collective agreement for opera singers of the Finnish National Opera.

Applicants must submit:

  • an online application via the official website
  • information about the audition arias
  • a link to a video (maximum 4 minutes) performing one opera aria from the alto/mezzo-soprano repertoire, with piano accompaniment (without recitative)
