Description

Applications are now open for the 7th Éva Marton International Singing Competition, an international opera competition hosted by the Liszt Academy (Budapest), with Éva Marton serving as Chair of the Jury.

The total prize fund exceeds €70,000.
Live rounds: 30 August – 6 September 2026

Applicants must:

  • be of any nationality and at least 18 years old at the opening of the competition;
  • have been born on or after 1 September 1994 (female applicants) / 1 September 1991 (male applicants).

Application deadlines and fees:

  • Early bird: 27 February 2026 (application fee: €100)
  • Final application deadline: 27 April 2026 (application fee: €200)
  • Notification regarding selection for the live rounds: by 20 May 2026

Applications must be submitted online and include, among other materials, two video recordings of arias:

  • 1 Baroque aria (or an excerpt from an opera/oratorio/cantata)
  • 1 opera aria from another stylistic period

All recordings must have been made after 1 October 2025.
