International Excellence Program for Singers

The Internationale Meistersinger Akademie (IMA), under the direction of the renowned soprano and pedagogue Prof. Dr. Edith Wiens, offers young opera singers an international program of excellence focused on artistic development and career advancement.

Taking place from July 3 to August 6, 2026 in Neumarkt i.d.OPf. (Germany), the program combines intensive vocal training, orchestral performances, professional recordings, and auditions in front of opera directors, agents, and casting directors from around the world.
The program is intended for young artists who are vocally stable and prepared for a professional career launch; the ideal age range is approximately 22–30 years.

Program highlights

• Individual voice lessons, coaching, and masterclasses
• Two opera gala concerts with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra
• Song recital recorded by Bavarian Radio / Studio Franken
• Auditions in front of approximately 30 opera directors, agents, and presenters
• Free board and lodging provided
