El Primer Palau – 31st Edition

The Orfeó Català – Palau de la Música Catalana Foundation announces the 31st edition of El Primer Palau, a competition offering young classical musicians the opportunity to perform as soloists in concert and make their debut on the prestigious stage of the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona.

The competition is open to instrumentalists (strings, keyboard, wind or percussion), singers, piano duos and already formed chamber music ensembles who hold higher-level qualifications or a diploma in music studies.

Applicants must be citizens of one of the countries in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, Oceania or Africa, and must reside in a member state of the European Union.

Participants must be between 16 and 30 years old on October 3, 2026.

Applications must be submitted by January 28, 2026.
