Vacancy – Clarinet Solo

The State Opera Ruse announces auditions for a Clarinet (Solo) position in the Symphony Orchestra.

Audition date: October 18, 2025

Audition repertoire:

• W. A. Mozart – Concerto for Clarinet, 1st and 2nd movements

• One virtuoso piece of your choice

• Orchestral excerpts:
  • G. Puccini – Tosca, Cavaradossi’s aria, Act III
  • A. Borodin – Polovtsian Dances
  • L. van Beethoven – Symphony No. 6, 1st movement: bars 83–93; 418–438; 474–492
  • Z. Kodály – Dances of Galánta: bars 31–65 (first cadenza) and 571–579
  • S. Rachmaninoff – Symphony No. 2, 3rd movement: bars 6 to rehearsal 47
  • J. Brahms – Symphony No. 3 in F major, Op. 90:
  – 1st movement: bars 23–27; 36–46
  – 2nd movement (Andante): beginning to bar 22
